Forest Unit (FU): A classification developed for management purposes that aggregates forest stands that will normally have similar species composition, will develop in a similar manner (both naturally and in response to silvicultural treatments), and will be managed under the same silvicultural system.
Mazinaw-Lanark Forest Inc. (MLFI) holds a Sustainable Forest Licence (SFL) issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources for Crown Lands in Frontenac, Lanark, Lennox & Addington, and part of Hasting County.
